Account Deletion & Data Privacy Notice
Welcome to Voteit (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We highly value your privacy and data control rights. If you decide to stop using our services, you can request the deletion of your Voteit account and all associated data at any time.
In accordance with Google Play's Developer Policies, we clearly outline below the steps for account deletion, the types of data processed, and the retention periods.
I. How to Request Account and Data Deletion
Users can request service termination and data erasure without logging into the application through the following two channels:
Channel A: Request via Email
Please use the email address associated with your registered Voteit account to send a deletion request to our customer service inbox:
- Customer Service Email:
service@voteit.co - Suggested Email Subject: Request for Voteit Account and Data Deletion - [Your Username/Email]
- Processing Time: Upon receiving your email request, we will verify your identity and complete the account deactivation and data erasure within 3 business days, followed by a confirmation notification.
Channel B: In-App Direct Request
If you can still log into the App, you can navigate directly to "Personal Settings" > "Account Security" > tap "Delete Account." The system will guide you through confirmation and automatically execute the deletion process immediately.
II. Data Types Handled
Once your deletion request is processed, the Voteit server will handle your private data as follows:
Data to be Permanently Deleted
- Personal Account Information: Your email address, phone number, password, username, Unique ID (account identifier), and third-party login (OAuth) authorization records.
- Personal Photos and Files: Profile photos you have uploaded to the platform.
- Personal Activity Logs: All in-app keyword search histories.
Data to be Anonymized / De-identified
- Social Poll Interactions: Your historical voting records and statistical data generated during public polling activities. To maintain the objectivity and historical integrity of public community poll results, these voting histories will be retained. However, the system will completely remove your personal identifiers and change the record holder to "Anonymous User," ensuring that no one can trace the data back to your real identity.
III. Additional Data Retention Period
- Immediate Erasure: Once the account deletion process is executed, the data designated for deletion will be immediately wiped from our operational database.
- Secure Backup Retention (Up to 30 Days): To safeguard against malicious deletions, ensure system stability, and comply with information security regulations, encrypted system technical backups (Backup Logs) may retain residual data for up to 30 days. These backups are strictly used for emergency system recovery and will be automatically and thoroughly overwritten and deleted upon expiration.
