Language precedence: If the English and Traditional Chinese versions differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

1) Definitions

  • Service: Voteit websites, web app, mobile apps, APIs, and related services.
  • Account: A registered user profile (Google / Apple / email + password).
  • User Content: Topics, votes, comments, images, text, links, profiles, and any material you submit or generate on the Service.
  • Points: Licensed, non-transferable, non-redeemable virtual features used for actions (e.g., voting, topic creation). No cash value; expire two (2) years after issuance unless stated otherwise.
  • Taiwan PDPA: Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

  • Minimum age: 13+. If 13–17, you represent you have parent/guardian consent as required by law.
  • Compliance: You must comply with local laws; we may restrict features or access where required.
  • One person, one account: Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
  • Non-members: May view some content but cannot vote, view results/comments, or earn Points.

3) What Voteit Is—and Is Not

  • Voteit is a social voting and discussion platform for entertainment and community.
  • No wagering / gambling / securities: Voteit does not offer staking, pools, bets, or payouts tied to real-world events. Points are not currency and do not represent a right to money, goods, or services. Any vendor promotions (if offered) are independent and not consideration for chance-based prizes.
  • No professional advice is provided (financial, legal, medical, etc.).

4) Public vs. Private; Votes

  • Voteit is public by design. Your topics, comments, nicknames, and certain profile elements may be public.
  • Votes are shown in aggregate; unless you choose to disclose, we do not publicly link your individual vote to your identity. We maintain internal logs for safety, integrity, and legal compliance.
  • Some content/features (e.g., full comments) may unlock after you vote.

5) Points & Purchases

  • Points are licensed features, not property; non-transferable; non-redeemable; expire after two (2) years.
  • Purchases (e.g., point packs) via Apple App Store, Google Play, or other channels are final except as required by platform policy or law.
  • Promotional/gift Points may have separate expiries/restrictions.
  • We may adjust balances to correct errors or prevent abuse/fraud.

6) Acceptable Use & Child Safety

You agree not to: violate laws; infringe IP, privacy, or publicity rights; Voteit enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

You expressly agree not to post, store, publish, or share any illegal, exploitative, violent, hateful, or sexually explicit material (especially involving, targeting, or sexualizing minors); doxx, harass, or bully; incite violence or self-harm; manipulate engagement (spam, bots, vote brigading, fake accounts); sell/transfer accounts or Points; reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent technical measures; misuse automated access; impersonate or misrepresent affiliation.

7) Moderation, Enforcement, Reporting & Appeals

  • AI and Human Review: Moderation uses automated AI filtering combined with human review to monitor platform content, and it may err.
  • Enforcement Actions: We may remove content, limit features, suspend/terminate accounts, adjust Points, or take other administrative actions at our sole discretion.
  • Repeat-Infringer Policy: Accounts that repeatedly infringe IP or seriously violate our community guidelines may be permanently terminated.
  • Dedicated Child Safety Reporting Channel: If you encounter any concerns regarding child safety, child exploitation, or inappropriate content within the application, please use the in-app "Report" button, or contact our dedicated safety team directly at service@voteit.co. All reports involving minor safety will be handled with the highest priority.
  • Law Enforcement Cooperation: Voteit fully complies with all applicable child protection laws. Upon discovering any evidence or actionable leads concerning child sexual abuse or exploitation, we will actively preserve relevant system audit logs and report the violations directly to local and national law enforcement authorities and relevant internet safety organizations.
  • Appeals: You may appeal significant actions or misjudgments at service@voteit.co; abusive or duplicative appeals may be limited.

8) Intellectual Property; Notice-and-Takedown

  • Respect copyrights and trademarks.
  • Send notices to service@voteit.co with: (a) the work claimed infringed, (b) the infringing material/location, (c) your contact info, (d) a good-faith statement, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized and the notice is accurate.
  • Counter-notice may be submitted where applicable; restoration follows law.
  • Trademark concerns: service@voteit.co.

9) Data Access, APIs & Anti-Scraping

  • We may make public content available via APIs/embeds/licensing under contractual controls (e.g., honor deletions, no sensitive-category profiling or surveillance, rate limits, and audit).
  • No scraping/circumvention: You may not scrape, spider, crawl, harvest, or bypass our technical measures; use only permitted APIs and do not build shadow archives.

10) Third-Party Services & App Stores

  • The Service integrates third-party services (e.g., Google Cloud/Firebase and similar services). Your use of those is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
  • If obtained via Apple App Store / Google Play, their terms (including billing/refunds) may apply.

11) Beta, Changes & Availability

  • Features may change or be discontinued at any time. Beta/experimental features may be unstable. We are not liable for downtime or data loss except as required by law.

12) Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee accuracy of User Content, votes, or outcomes.

13) Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voteit and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or revenue. Our aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of NT$3,000 or the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14) Indemnification

  • You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Voteit and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law.

15) Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason (including suspected violations or risks). Sections that by nature survive (licenses, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities) survive termination.

16) Governing Law; Dispute Resolution; Venue

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Unless the parties agree in writing to arbitrate in Taipei under Taiwan's Arbitration Law, the Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance. To the extent permitted by law, you agree not to participate in class or representative proceedings against Voteit.

17) Assignment; Entire Agreement; Severability; Force Majeure

  • We may assign these Terms. These Terms (and referenced policies) are the entire agreement between you and Voteit. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. We are not liable for delays/failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

18) Notices

  • We may provide notices by in-app message, email, or posting on our site. You consent to electronic communications.

19) Changes to Terms

  • We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app, on our site, or via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
